Grid is a Philadelphia based publication focused on sustainability issues and initiatives. The aim is to spread a wealth of sustainability centric knowledge free of charge to the masses, via printed copies and online. Working with the team I redesigned the website, creating a platform that better embodies our core disciplines.

In utilizing header imagery and color to refresh the site every quarter, our focus on seasonal living is immediately realized by viewers. Other added features include a better integrated shop, an easy to use platform for the digital editions and a full visual archive of past issues. Based on the many improvements to the user interface the site quadrupled in viewership within 3 months of the update's release.

Label designed for a fundraiser benefiting Philabundance, the challenge was to create a piece that discussed a love of place. I utilized photography from my trip to Portland, OR to express my understanding and appreciation of the systems present within cities.

“Through exploring places I recognize connections created through the underlying systems that surround us. In taking time to recognize the elements that encapsulate a place I can more definitively define it’s unique qualities and create lasting memories and experiences that can later be depicted.”

In collaboration with Next City (formerly Next American City) and author Nate Berg I designed a publication featuring short profiles about the people, places and ideas that changed cities in 2012. In concept the document is split into four quadrants which categorize each profile based on the dimensions of establishment-vs-anti establishment as compared to their stance on profit-vs-not for profit. The visual approach resembles that of sonar maps depicting how each of these profiles exist independently within our world and caught Next City's attention due to their approach within our society.

The Disruption Index was designed as an interactive e-document to be viewed on tablet devices as well as imagery for each profile which was posted onto Next City's blog.

Philly Fuel Co is a dynamic group of planners, artists, and designers dedicated to promoting microalgae as a viable alternative energy source. As the graphic designer I designed the logo, and guerrilla marketing materials by utilizing my knowledge of combining analog and digital techniques. These included hand stamps, stickers, and mud stencils that were posted at various locations around town.

This project was published within PhiladelphiaWeekly, Metropolis Magazine, and the PhillyWorks 2012 Catalogue Qualities of Life in Philadelphia.

This poster was created for Masthead Print Studio's "Artificial Dissemination: Propaganda to Popaganda". In a pre-Napster world Tower was the music megastore, with tons of locations and an unlimited access to albums. As the movie "Empire Records" illustrates all was not well, and with the onset of Napster circa 1999 and other online discount music distributors their empire fell hard. Granted the whole music marketplace is in shambles, but for now we can look at what Tower did wrong to prevent similar instances of corporations over saturating themselves. Created from scans of process material including tape, and ink pulls, printed on French Paper Co. Parchment paper. 3-Color, Edition of 10.
Actual Size 9" x12"

Working with a jewelry designer that specializes in the design and creation of artisan "soapboxes" I created a logo and supporting elements that would convey her devotion to well-crafted silver goods but still capture her minimalist aesthetic.
